11-01-2025 Huben GK1 Micro Carbine Test

It was very much time for it again! Junior and senior went nicely to our club's shooting range.
Of course everything was prepared the day before. For once no lugging long rifles and big bottles.

Just the GK1 6.35mm with the folding stock and a new 3 times magnifying scope. We had to evaluate those ourselves. Everything we sell must of course be tested by ourselves, we insist on that!  Of course we also brought a firearm because: We were planning on shooting at the pistol range anyway. The Manurhin .38 Match was allowed to come along with some wadcutters and a few PlusP reloaded cartridges.

Getting there: Hey, pretty quiet. I'm sure the low temperature played a role there. Since the energy crisis, the bunkers are no longer heated. So: Within 15 minutes you have a snot on your nose and the nice feeling is out of your trigger finger. But: Lots of space on the track.

First we let the GK1 out. It was on 2 inversions as far as power mode goes, so it was fine for fast JSB King pellets and the slower (heavy) Rifle slugs. First 5 loaded JSBs at 12 meters already hit the card in a fine group. Too low though: Just made the usual correction. Wham: Slugging around the bullseye.

Enormous stability with such a folding flask. Also the image of the scope was perfect. Reasonably short to your eye so a bit of the Immersive scope stance. FF to 25 meters: And just about the same shot image and point of impact. So: Little correction needed.

Occasionally refill with our little carbon bottle with Edgun Eazyfill. What a godsend that is! All fits well in the Rangebag.

Afterwards shot with the Manurhin. What a miraculously fine match revolver it is! Single action of course. So: click, aim and a nice light print. Because the ear muffs were over the hats, there was something of a banging sensation from the .38 cartridges. Then the PlusP, the construction of Manurhin can easily handle multiple loads. And then that bang is really much louder anyway :-).

Anyway: We went home in good spirits!
