RAW Mee Naar Schietclub

RAW to the Shooting Range 100 Meters

At the special request of a marksman friend, I took a RAW HM1000X .25 to my shooting club. After all, I was an importer for many years and am still friends with Martin Rutterford. Always tested all RAWs before we shipped them out and took care of fine tuning. That was really necessary!

Left the Delta scope on it completely against my habit. I have been putting a SightronS3 6-24 on it for years because it is unbeatable and I can read and write with it. Did put my own new short carbon fiber bipod underneath and hooked up to the external bottle with 220 bar. No external Bascule regulator because I have a bit of pain in my back and the rifle is internally regulated anyway. Well the .30 with the USA barrel is really the easiest to shoot. The .25 chokeless LW Polygon is always a lot harder. Of course pre-measured with JSB King Heavy (never take the Mk2 in this barrel): Approx. 270 m/s. That's actually good enough. It is sometimes rumored that 274 m/s is the ideal speed but: That doesn't make much difference. So first just try it this way.

Triggered the rifle and...
The lines of the reticle are really impossible for my eyes to see. Too bad. Then let son Bram shoot and he saw it more clearly. It was standing at 50 meters: FF into the sand trap 100 meters for a quick adjustment. And then on the cards for the perfect adjustment.

Turns out: you have to put in a lot of effort and get your heart rate under control, but: great fun! Check out the chart, 100 meters! And what a good trigger. You know very well when it goes off. The rifle itself takes some getting used to: The silencer is the size of a chimney pipe. Tastes differ!

But conclusion: He (and Bram) shoots well! Other conclusion: Dad is getting old :-).
